Healthy Baking and Learning Sessions 18th January 2013
Session 2 started with a discussion around the ‘Eat Well Plate’. We looked at different food groups, what they
mean and how to have a balanced daily diet.
The food diary was introduced and everyone was asked to record what they
eat each day and next week we will think about how it fits into the ‘Eat Well
Plate’.
We then made two cakes – one not so healthy which was a
Victoria sponge and then a healthier option which was yoghurt based.
We saw how both cakes are similar and both very tasty although one contained more fat and sugar!!
