Diary of a Healthy Bake and Learn Session



Healthy Bake and Learn Session  25 January 2013 


Again the lovely smell of baking filled our Kitchen and Lounge!


We made scones and learned that they are one of the healthier treats that we can enjoy!  We used low fat spread and doing this did not change the taste.

They were lovely!





We then made a cup cake mixture following the same recipe we used for the victoria sponge cake last time.  

 


While they were in the oven we had great fun decorating some baked cupcakes using 3 different coloured topping mixtures we had made.  We added on chocolates and sprinkles.  They look fabulous – worthy of any baking shop!


 




Then finally, to balance some of the not so healthy chocolate and sugar in the cakes, we made a healthy smoothie using fresh fruit and sugar free juice.
